Norrbotten County Council conducts research through its Central Hospital at Sunderby into innovative healthcare and homecare, especially with regard to solving the problems of a widely dispersed population. It has been involved at local level in many projects such as Tryggve (developing an eHealth box or integrated set of tools for transmitting patient data and providing remote consultation). In international projects such as MobiHealth and e-Home Healthcare, the County

Council has provided valuable test bed environments, healthcare professionals and volunteer patients for trials testing tools to diagnose and measure respiratory insufficiency, aid communications between field nurses and district nurses, and streamline the home care process in the town of Luleå.

NLL will work closely with CDH, particularly in the role of Field Testing (WP4). It will run the Swedish test site, and will also contribute to Evaluation (WP5).
